Head of Investment & Pricing

Job Description:

We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Head of Investment & Pricing to join an important Credit Management Services firm in Madrid.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Lead the Iberia Pricing team with full ownership of underwriting quality, methodologies, and end‑to‑end portfolio pricing processes, including team development.
• Own valuation models and investment theses for all Iberia portfolios, driving model enhancements, statistical analysis, scenario testing, and alignment with Group pricing frameworks and governance.
• Partner cross‑functionally with internal teams and international pricing counterparts, and engage with external sellers and advisors to validate assumptions and market insights.
• Oversee post‑acquisition portfolio performance, provide data‑driven insights on risks and returns to senior management, and support Investment Committee recommendations.
• Ensure robust model governance, documentation, and version control, while supporting the development of Python/SQL‑based pricing tools and forecasting engines with high accuracy under pressure.

Formal Education & Certification

• Master’s degree in a numerically rigorous field (Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics), with CFA Level I required (Level II/III a plus) and additional qualifications in data science or financial modelling valued;
• Fluent English mandatory.

Knowledge & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in NPL pricing, valuation, investment analysis, structured finance, consulting, or portfolio management, with strong expertise in underwriting, forecasting, and portfolio evaluation.
• Advanced financial modelling skills (DCF, IRR, cashflow waterfalls, risk‑adjusted returns) and high proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, and financial automation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple transactions in fast‑paced environments and confidently engage senior stakeholders with clear investment presentations.
