CPO - Chief Procurement Officer

Job Description:

The Procurement Manager, within the organization, reporting with solid line to the HR Director in Spain and wit dotted line to the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) in Italy, and managing a work team, holds the following responsibilities:

• Defines the strategic and operational policies of purchasing.
• Supervises the negotiations related to the contracts and follows the direct negotiation with the existing and potential suppliers ensuring the continuous reduction of the costs defined in the budget.
• Analyses the evolution of prices and markets.
• Define the purchase plan/budget with strategic and tactical actions, ensuring continuous monitoring of performance through qualitative and quantitative indicators and the necessary corrective actions.
• Create proposals aimed at improving quality in company processes and procedures.
• Have interactions with all the different Functions to monitor the procurement of products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Scientific or Economic Disciplines, alternatively technical degree.
• Experience gained in contexts operating in international multi-site markets
• Strong problem-solving orientation and management by objectives
• Ability to coordinate product customization activities across internal/external production units according to lean production/lean management logic
• Knowledge of Italian (C2 level) and English language (high level)
